Running the Ilkley Half Marathon

My Story
On 11th July I will be running the Ilkley Half Marathon to raise money for St James Hospital, Leeds.
My dear friend Naomi (Gnome) was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma in 2020 and despite numerous rounds of chemotherapy the Lymphoma is being very stubborn indeed. She is hoping to have a Bone marrow transplant at St James Hospital and in support of her and the amazing work they do I will be trying to get myself around the 13 mile (hilly) course around Ilkley. It’s a challenge but nothing like the challenge many people like Gnome face when faced with cancer. She is a complete inspiration, she remains positive in the darkest times, she started running a business on top of continuing to work whilst undergoing treatment and even completed her own sponsored walk to raise money when she was very unwell.
