About

The British Transplant Games are an annual sporting event celebrating transplant patients and donor families. In 2021 the Games were supposed to be held in Leeds from the 5th - 8th of August but due to Covid they had to be cancelled. Thankfully they have only be postponed by a year and we are very excited about the Games coming to our city in 2022.

The Games will now be held from 28th - 31st July 2022 and Leeds Children's Transplant Team needs your help to attend this inspirational event.

The team is an inspiring group of 40+ children and young people, aged from 2 - 18, who have been the recipients of organ and bone marrow transplantation who compete at the annual event. After years of illness and overcoming hurdles in life, it is fantastic to see their pride in taking part in competitive sporting events, social sporting events and celebrating their gift of life and their donors. Could you make a donation to support the team's attendance at the event, helping to fund things like registration fees, accommodation, transport and kit? As Leeds Children's hospital is a regional hospital most families do not live in Leeds and will have to stay in Team accommodation.

All monies raised on this page (and linked individual pages) will go into the Leeds Cares Children's Transplant Games Fund 5M97.
